Not too long ago in October of 2003,
Angel’s Wink Production gathered an exclusive group of fellow wedding
suppliers with the aim of providing quality wedding products and
services in a cozy atmosphere wherein clients and suppliers alike can go
on with their business sans the noise and haste of market-like events.
Today, “Weddings… Get Set… Go!!!, The Bridal Event, has become one of
the most sought-after bridal fairs in the country and dubbed as the
“country’s coziest bridal fair ever!” It turns five years old this year
with the same vision of providing a setting which can give suppliers and
clients some quality time to get to know each other.
Katrina
Ponce Enrile, President & CEO of Jaka Group of Companies, will be
present in the fair to cut the ribbon during the opening ceremony on
October 13, 2007.

A Successful 4th Year Run for the Country’s Coziest Bridal Fair
“Weddings…
Get Set… Go!!!”, the country’s coziest bridal fair ever, once again lived up
to its tagline, despite some drawbacks brought about by the Milenyo Storm
two weeks before its scheduled date.
A record number of over 2,000 soon-to-weds and visitors dropped by last
October 14 & 15 at the Rockwell Tent in Makati City to check some of the
best wedding suppliers in the wedding industry.
The event opened its doors after a simple ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Mr.
& Mrs. Mar & Ton Alonte (with daughter Alexis tagging along). Mar & Ton were
among the first clients of Angel’s Wink Production & Event Planners, the
event’s organizer. “We consider Mar & Ton as our lucky charm. Their wedding
in 1999 started the ball rolling for us, so to speak, paving way to hundreds
of weddings we have organized thereafter, and counting!”, said Mr. Cesar
“Ces” Aglipay, AWP’s Head Planner.
The fair presented over 70 carefully selected set of wedding suppliers who
were all happy with the turnout in bookings and reservations made during the
fair, topped by caterer VS&F Classic Food International (complete listing
provided below).
About
Weddings, Manila Bulletin’s popular wedding section, sponsored a bridal
makeover during the two-day fair, randomly selecting visiting future brides
for a makeup session with glamorous HMUAS Ara Fernando, Mayone Bakunawa and
Jasmine Mendiola. Our special thanks to About Weddings Section Editor Marbee
Go (in photo above with Cesar Aglipay & Paulo Clemente of AWP) for her
presence during the two-day fair.
Future
Groom Ferdinand Fano (photo on the left with AWP Heads), who booked Fernwood
Garden as their reception venue for their wedding on January 7, 2007 during
the fair, won the event’s major raffle draw, an all-expense paid three-day,
two night vacation for two to Boracay inclusive of airfares courtesy of
event’s organizer Angel’s Wink Production & Event Planners and Pearl of the
Pacific Boracay. He was awarded the certificates in a simple-get-together
held at Figaro Powerplant Mall.
Filling the air with music was Paulo Clemente, a favorite singer & host of
soon-to-weds, who casually sang some love songs during event intervals.
Paulo sang some new favorite songs for weddings plus his own set of
favorites.
Mr. Clemente however, made someone cry during the event’s finale. But these
were tears of joy, definitely! This was when he sang the winning song right
beside Jacqueline, the composer and her future hubby, Oliver.
The event’s finale was the awarding of
certificate and prizes to the winner of the first ever “My Wedding Song”
Songwriting Competition for soon-to-weds. Ms. Jacquelin Tan, soon to marry
Oliver Maano on December 10 this year in a Christian ceremony at Coconut
Palace, won over P75,000.00 worth of wedding-related products & services for
her song entitled “Ikaw Na Nga”. Jacqueline received prizes worth over
P75,000.00 which included an OTD Coordination Service, sound system, a
string duo plus vocalist courtesy of String Minstrels, an event host, A Zoom
Whitening kit plus dental spa from Gorgeous Smile Dental Café, gift from
Scents & Blends Fragrances, and a prenup photo session from Smartshot
Photography.

On top of these, Jacquelin will also receive 150 cd giveaways featuring
Paulo Clemente’s latest vocal samplers plus the professional version of
“IKAW NA NGA” as interpreted by Paulo himself produced by AWP.
Recognizing Jacquelin’s very impressive alto voice, Paulo Clemente decided
to produce Jacquelin’s own professional recording of her song, complete with
back up vocals and her own special accompaniment.
Jacqueline, a devout Christian, considers here winning as “answered prayers”
and thanks Angel’s Wink for using their company as the vessel for the
blessings. Indeed, it was a night of feeling good. Positive vibes for
everyone marked the event’s closing ceremony.
As a fitting gesture of thanksgiving, Angel’s
Wink waived all entrance fees to the fair. In lieu, we simply requested
visitors to donate any amount to KAPWA KO, MAHAL KO Foundation, Inc., the
event’s chosen beneficiary.
A check amounting to Ten Thousand Pesos
(P10,000.00) was turned over to KAPWA KO, MAHAL KO Foundation, Incorporated,
the event’s chosen beneficiary.
Kapwa Ko, Mahal Ko Foundation’s Executive Director, Mr. Albert T. Padua
received the check accompanied by his staff, Program Officer Albert Uy,
Administrative Assistant Leng B. Orbon and Social Worker Liza Velle B.
Ramos.

to use the event in support of charitable work for the less-privileged
sectors of our society.
