POWER WEDDINGS YEAR
2 – A POST-EVENT REPORT
Another successful bridal
event organized by Angel’s Wink Production & Events Planner, “POWER WEDDINGS
Year 2” held recently at the classy Rockwell Tent last February 4 & 5
fulfilled its promise to its supplier-participants and soon-to-weds alike –
by providing a meeting place for both in a very relaxing, stress-free
scenario sans all the hustle and bustle of a market fair, with pre-selected
participants and new suppliers who have met the standards of the organizers
who are quite active in the wedding industry themselves.
Simple ribbon cutting rites
held on the first day of the event with Guest of Honor Kuh Ledesma flanked

Power Weddings
Year 2 has the advantage of most suppliers who have worked well with each
other and tend to give supplier-friendly rates with each other. Suppliers
were encouraged to offer a bevy of packages which may include the products
and services of other suppliers resulting to remarkable discounts and perks.
For its second year, “Power Weddings, The Bridal Event” presented five
catering companies headed by its major sponsor VS&F Classic Food
International which closed the biggest bookings, garnering 40% of the
event’s over 10 million pesos in gross bookings.

The caterers chose their
own themes to present their sample setups with VS&F Classic Food
International opting for their Japanese-inspired backdrop as its
central focus.

booth at the fair is by
LEE LLAMAS, Power Weddings’ Photographer of the Year. To clients,

BRIDAL
GOWNS! BRIDAL GOWNS! BRIDAL GOWNS!
Top bridal
designers led by Edward Teng showcased their best designs in the
event. Truly a display of artistry of the Filipino:
Power
Weddings has become the launching pad of talented hair & make-up
 artists.
It began with Jasmine Mendiola last year (2nd from right), followed
by Ara Fernando (3rd from right), then Mayone Bakunawa (extreme
left). Ever-present in all bridal fairs of AWP is Beauty Base Salon,
with Ms. Love Fontamillas at the helm (extreme right)
The first day of the event saw Mayone (
pronounced as May-1! As in the first day of May) doing a fabulous
demo on model Erica and brides were in awe of the outcome:
On the
second day, it was Ara Fernando’s turn to demo and it was an
entirely different Erica we saw! Ara used the accessories of ALL
ABOUT BEADs of Liezel Amoncio (fourth pic below). This make up was
also used in “MOCK UP WEDDING GRAND ENTRANCE” which followed soon
after the makeup session.

Coordinators and Planners competed – in a very professional and
friendly way, that is, during the two-day event. They all won, hands
down!
Exciting newbies such As Kleyr Chainani of The Red Orange did very
well, thanks to her sweet, charming personality and great booth
display.
Beverly Suarez of Artistar also launched her company in the event
which also carries beautiful giveaways. The event also welcomes
Impromptu, a new but impressive young group. Power Weddings regulars
Beverly Quinto, Christine Uy & Gie Cenzon of Dreamcatchers, Hazel
Encabo of CE Media & Monina Lugay who also does bridal gowns,
delivered quite well as expected.
Of course, Angel’s Wink Production & Event Planners made their
presence felt this time. They were able to fix their booth -
finally!

Venues was of course led by the Rockwell Tent itself -where grand
weddings & other special events happen (pics above from a wedding

Event Partner Pearl of the Pacific In Boracay, a very exclusive
resort in Bora Bora gave away a vacation package for two! A three
day two night stay, thanks so much for the continuous support! Great

course, Fernwood Gardens has to be at the fair because this
is one of AWP’s favourite garden venues (

 Birthday
Bash @ POWER WEDDINGS!
The event became much happier with the surprise greetings to
birthday boy CESAR ‘CES’ AGLIPAY, one of the moving forces of AWP
and birthday gal ERICA CLEMENTE, Paulo’s niece and future top model.
Come to think of it – she has become the icon of AWP events with her
face all over on all of AWP’s print ads and other promo collaterals.
To Sir Ces & Erica, God bless you both!

THE GRAND FINALE
During “POWER WEDDINGS
1”, Angel’s Wink thought of something for the event finale that
would not be too attention-grabbing so as not to distract the
clients inquiring from suppliers. The result was Paulo Clemente -
the country’s premiere wedding singer & event host, doing a sample
of how he would execute a couple’s grand entrance at a wedding
reception.
It was a showcase of showmanship and a mesmerizing voice to boot as
he sang his own version of “SO IT’S YOU” (originally sung by Raymond
Launchengco in the 80’s) before finally introducing the couple
towards the middle part.
He also used samples of his music scoring for couples to know its
importance and how it can further heighten some event highlights.

POWER WEDDINGS
EVENT FINALE featured the bridal gown of hot designer ELIZABETH
SADDI (
www.elizabethsaddi.com ) worn by Erica Clemente. Her “groom”,
Jomari Quibilan of Scents & Blends, wore an Elizabeth Saddi Barong.
Featured Hair and Make-up Artist for this event was ARA FERNANDO (
www.arafernando.com ) who
gave Erica that ravishing bride aura.
 Bridal accessories were provided by Liezl Amoncio of ALL ABOUT BEADS
while the floral bouquet came from the event partner

Production and Event Planners handed the check amounting to P15,000.00 to
Mr. Alfredo Anciado of ‘KAPWA KO, MAHAL KO” Foundation, Inc. In lieu of
entrance fees, AWP put up a donation box at the reception area and
encouraged visitors to take part in the fund raising.
On the right side, Soon-to-Weds NAP APOLINARIO & RHEA UBANA
received the ZOOM WHITENING KIT, a raffle prize worth P15,000.00
during the fair courtesy of Gorgeous Smile Medical & Dental Spa. They
also received two Dental Spa Certificates, Gifts from Scents & Blends
Fragrances, 100 pieces of CD Giveaways from Angel’s Wink plus a treat at
AFFETO’s CAFÉ. NAP & RHEA will tie the knot on July 8 at Fernwood
Gardens. Happy Preps!
